Note: the closest physical amateur radio store is Ham Radio Outlet in Sacramento. The Association of Silicon Valley Amateur Radio Organizations operates a local electronics flea market, once a month during the summer months, which is often a good source for used gear.

Many SCCo ARES/RACES operators have had poor experiences buying equipment on Amazon.com. It can be the best option for small, simple items like audio cables and RF adapters. But for anything more elaborate, you may prefer to stick with an amateur-radio-specific vendor.
