SCCo Packet Software Installer

SCCo ARES/RACES provides a bundled installer for the SCCo-standard packet software (Outpost and PackItForms), pre-configured with the SCCo-standard settings.

This software should be run on Microsoft Windows 10 or later.

It may run on Windows XP through Windows 8.1, but it is not thoroughly tested on those versions. More importantly, those versions do not receive security updates from Microsoft and have known, frequently exploited security holes.
It does not run on Windows 2000 or earlier.
It does not run on any non-Windows operating system.
It should not be run in a Windows emulator such as Wine or Parallels. Attempts to do so have proven highly error-prone and unreliable.

There are two versions of the installer available: the general release version and the pre-release version. Both are thoroughly tested and suitable for use in any packet station. Stations where software installation requires special administrative support will usually stay on the general release version. All other stations should use the pre-release version.

Makes it easier to select recommended values of ‘To Location’ and ‘To ICS Position’.
In hospital forms, change the default values of ‘To Location’ from MHJOC to PHDOC.
