Served Agency Services

Served agencies that have an Ethernet or WiFi connection to the SCCo ARES/RACES intranet can deploy services on that network that can be used by other such agencies. Because our intranet is resilient, these services will remain accessible even when the global Internet is not.

In addition to providing raw data connectivity, the SCCo ARES/RACES intranet also provides a DNS service and some basic network security (blocked ports, rate limiting, etc.). However, served agencies using the network will want their own firewalls and other security controls as well.
