Santa Clara County ARES®/RACES

TCP/IP Access to SCCo ARES/RACES Intranet

Served agencies that are co-located with, or have line of sight to, one of the SCCo ARES/RACES network hubs can connect directly to our intranet and use all of its services.

The configuration model is analogous to a commercial ISP connection with static addresses, with more flexibility provided to allow for each agency’s unique networking needs. The configuration details provided here assume basic TCP/IP knowledge such as subnetting and static routing. Connectivity to the SCCo ARES/RACES network must be coordinated with the served agency’s own network managers. If you need help, consult our TCP/IP email discussion group.
