Radio Direction Finding Basics
Course Description
This is an introductory training course for hams who are interested in Radio Direction Finding.
- Intended Audience
- Any Ham that has an interest in directional finding and the techniques and equipment involved.
- Prerequisites
- Valid Technician class or higher Amateur Radio license
- Format
- In person, 2–3 hours
- Students should bring
- Copy of course materials (see below)
- Pen/pencil and pad of paper
- Any equipment they currently have or use for radio directional finding

- Describe how to prepare for “the hunt”.
- Describe how to find a local T-Hunt
