County EOC Radio Room Orientation

Course Description

This class will prepare operators for working in the radio room of the county Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Intended Audience

Hams who want to be eligible for assignments in the county EOC radio room.

Prerequisites

• Net Control Type III or Packet Operator Type III Credential
• Mutual Aid Communicator Endorsement
• Registered as a County DSW

  These requirements will not be waived unless you are only missing something that is pending to complete the requirements, i.e., missing a class for a Credential or a LiveScan for the MAC Endorsement. The Credential Program Manager will need to approve this.

Format

In person, 3.5 hours

Students should bring

• Copy of course materials (see below)
• Pen/pencil and pad of paper
