Pop-Up Net Control Practice
Pop-up Net Control is a great way to gain and practice Net Control skills. The concept is simple. Participation is quick and easy. Here's how it works:
- Travel to the pop-up net control location
- Send/receive a few messages under the guidance of experienced NCOs
- Be home for lunch
- Easy peazy

Location:
- Parking lot across the street from the Sheriff's Office building
- We will set up pop-up tents and/or use the shade under the solar panels
- We will spread out to provide sufficient "social distance" to help avoid spread of the coronavirus (or the flu!).
Parking:
- You will see pop-up tents in the parking lot across the street from the Sheriff's Office
- Park nearby. But leave at least one space between your car and a tent. No permit is required on the weekend.
- Do NOT park next to the Sheriff's Office Building.
Check-In/Out:
- There will be one tent where check-in/out will be performed. Please go there first, so you don't disturb existing practice sessions.
Weather or Other Last Minute Changes:
- It's possible we might have to cancel due to weather or other issues
- Expect an email at approximately 8pm the night before (Friday, 3/20) with a go/no-go decision.
- We'll also update this page at that time.
