THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE MARCH OF DIMES STAFF DUE TO THE COVID-19 QUARANTINE
It is time again for the March of Dimes March for Babies amateur radio communications event. This year, the event will happen on Saturday 25 April. The event location will be at the history museum at Kelley Park in San Jose at the corner of Senter Road and Phelan Avenue. This location is radio friendly which makes the use of HTs extremely good. As last year, we will be there no later than 7:30am and it will go until about noon. We will have positions available for waterstops, checkpoints, bicycle, shadow, mobile, and net control.
One of the main reasons for coordinating this event is to train people in a non-emergency situation. If you know anyone who is a new ham that would like to volunteer, please forward this email to him or her and tell them that no experience is necessary. If you would like to volunteer, please email at the address below. Feel free to encourage anyone with little or no experience to join us, as well. Your continued help is appreciated by me and the March of Dimes team.
