Assistance is needed for the (simulated) Masked Pumpkin Festival Parade. Staging open at 8:30 AM with briefings begining at 9:20 AM. Dress appropriately, bring fresh batteries, and join in the fun. A 5 watt HT is required and a headset is highly encouraged.
There are three positions available: Checkpoint, Shadow, and Net Control. When signing up, indicate your preference. If you are willing to work any position, you can sign up as a Generalist and you will be assign where needed. We will do the best we can to accommodate your request, but we reserve the right to move hams to other positions based on the needs of the parade. Thank you for understanding.
This event will meet the requirements for a Public Service event for Credential Credit.
The simulated parade will run twice. During this event, you will participate one time as a radio operator for the parade in one of the positions noted above. The other time the parade runs, you will act as a simulator (crowd member, Principle, float member, lost child, etc). Participants will also be using their radios while acting as simulators. You are required to do both parts to get credit for the event. Without Simulators to provide real-world injects, we can not adequately simulate a public service event.

Sign-ups will close on Wednesday evening October 7th at 6pm. A MANDATORY pre-event briefing will be required for participants via Zoom.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
