Event Detail and Sign Up

This is the monthly Monthly Training Net held on the third Tuesday of each month.

The training net will be be held on the Resource Net Repeaters (AA6BT 146.115, N6NAC 444.625, and W6ASH 440.800) which will be linked for the net.

The activities of this net will vary from month to month, providing practice in a range of skills and techniques. The difficulty of the exercises may vary from month to month, depending on the activity, and many months there will be opportunities for multiple levels of expertise. Read the job descriptions for the positions each month.

This month we will be simulating a Level One Resource Net, sending and receiving Mike-Mike reports.

 

Expected Difficulty:  Net Participant: Easy       Net Control: Challenging

Net Controls will want to review slides 57-72 from the Net Control Type A, Part 1 class and will need to have a blank copy of the Mike-Mike Summary form. Net Participants should have a copy of the Mike-Mike scale at hand and may want to review this page for the format of a Mike-Mike report and other information.

Anyone wishing to receive pre-event communications (plans for the net, advance materials regarding the exercise, etc.) should sign up. While not required, sign-ups are encouraged and help staff with event planning. 

Although not required, all net participants will be invited to call Net Control to submit a Mike-Mike report. In addition, there are up to 5 opportunities to serve as Net Control for a portion of the training net.

The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
