The Cupertino July 4 fireworks is on again for 2023! We need radio operators to assist with monitoring activity at three viewing venues and provide situation status to the command post. This is a fairly low-key event that's ideal for both experienced and first-time volunteers. Please notice that this is a fairly long event and everyone is expected to work the entire event.
All non-Cupertino volunteers will be sworn in as one-day Cupertino DSWs for the event. Some credential evaluations will be offered. If you are interested in an evaluation, please sign up for the appropriate assignment and email Mark, k6fjc@matmos.com, about your desire for an evaluation.
An N3 is not required for a Net Control position, but both training and experience are needed.
Additional information will be provided later by email for those who have signed up. Please contact halchin@mac.com if you have any questions. Sign-ups for the event will close at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 3.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
