San Jose will be conducting a full-scale exercise for the Golden Eagle 2023 event.
San Jose RACES will helping to staff the following two locations
- A CPOD site at Lake Cunningham
- A EPIO site at the Hank Lopez Community Center
While other players (ex. CERT, PD, DOT, etc...) will have specific duties and objectives at each, RACES will be demonstrating the following capabilities and more
- Setup, and demonstration of WEN connectivity between the two temporary sites and a third fixed site (ex. City Hall)
- Demonstration of WEN VOIP, internet hotspot, and document capture/printing capabilities
- Domonstration of amateur radio message passing capabiilities between the two sites
The exercise will run 0800 to 1630 on May 18, 2013.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
