Morgan Hill will activate their Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and deploy field operators in response to a City wide Internet outage that has disrupted all phone/cell/Internet services including 911 dispatch in the greater Morgan Hill area. MHPD and CalFire will be participating in this drill. The mission of the participants will be provided as part of the EOC new shift briefing that starts at 9am. We will need operators maning the EOC radio room and providing field communications. The locations used for this drill will be easily accessible by car, and will be major CalFire or other City service locations.
Schedule: Times after 9 AM start are approximate. We'll move through the briefing and training taking the time needed, and then deploy.
8:30 AM EOC opens for drill participants
9:00 AM EOC introduction, roles and responsibilities, and new shift event briefing
9:30 AM Specialized training for field tasks requested
10:00 AM Begin field deployment and drill exercise, EOC radio room activated
11:30 AM Return to EOC for de-brief and recommendations
12:00 PM Drill completion
Starting Location: Morgan Hill Police Department EOC, 16200 Vineyard Blvd, Morgan Hill, CA. The EOC is located at the southwest corner of the building. Knock on the door to be let in.
