Super Bowl 60 - County EOC - Sunday 2/8

Date: 02/08/26 Start: 11:45 AM End: 9:15 PM Location: SCCo EOC Radio Room
Credential Credit (What's this?): Yes

Super Bowl LX support at the Santa Clara County EOC radio room.

We are looking for a few good men and women to staff the County EOC Radio Room to support Super Bowl activities.  Read everything and then look at the bottom of this page for how to indicate your interest in one of these positions.

Sunday - 12:00 to 24:00  (will be 2 six-hour shifts 1200-1800 and 1800-2400)

Positions/duties include:

  • 1 RACES Unit Leader  (Must have RUL Endorsement)
  • 3 Radio Operators  (Voice, SHARES, Packet - see details below)
  • Other communication-related activities, as needed
  • 1 Resource Net Control for the travel net (working from home)

Because we do not know what might be required should something of importance take place, we are looking for people with multiple skill sets.  The ability for one person to staff multiple positions is desired. This allows us to maintain radio coverage during breaks and other times when someone needs to step out of the radio room.

  • Voice Radios (Command Net, Message Net, Resource Net, Regional Net, etc.)
  • SHARES HF Radio system
  • Packet
  • Telephone

Radio operators who can do multiple tasks from the above list are preferred.  You must be a MAC, you need a minimum of an F3 and N3 Credential, and having an ERO Endorsement is highly desired.

The Resource Net Control position prefers some prior Resource NC expereince but others may be considered.

If you would like to be considered for one of these positions, send an email to: cro@scc-ares-races.org with a Subject of: SB60 Staffing.  Indicate your interest and include the following information:

  • Your Name and Call Sign
  • Is your EC willing to release you for the SB60 assignment
  • List all your Credentials and Endorsements
  • What day and shift assignment would you accept

The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
