This exercise will simulate a prolonged severe windstorm with downed trees and loss of power in some areas. Operators will meet at 1000 Villa at 10:00 am for a briefing, and then will form teams to perform their assignments. Be prepared to operate from your car (ideally with mobile radio and antenna, but HT with good antenna will also work.) We will be using some of the new forms that came out from the county in August, 2025, as well as the usual standard forms (211, 214, 309). Operators in the Radio Room will also be communicating with the County by voice and packet..
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
