Morgan Hill Drill Scenario and Training Focus
Primary Scenario: Major Earthquake:
A major earthquake has occurred in Morgan Hill. The extent of the damage is unknown. City emergency services are responding to 911 calls received, but the requests are outnumbering the first responder units available to respond. Cellular and phone service is spotty.
The Morgan Hill EOC has been activated, but is not yet fully staffed.
Morgan Hill has activated CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service).
RACES has staffed the EOC radio room and established communications to the Santa Clara County EOC.
CERT has been asked to report to the bus station CERT supplies cache, however phone tree notifications are failing with only a few being completed.
CERT members at the bus yard are in contact with the RACES team at the EOC.
