County Radio Room Participants Sign-ups ONLY. This sign-up page is for those who wish to operate at Moffett Field at the field deployed radio room.
This event is being hosted and coordinated by Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley's Disaster Management Initiative (DMI), and is also in conjunction with California Mobile Command Center Rally.
Purpose: The purpose of this drill is to allow the Cities within Santa Clara County to exercise their local communications resources at the City level, and also participate on a County-Wide level exercise working the communications between the City Emergency Operations Centers and the SCCo Emergency Operations Center RACES Radio Room - remote location.
This drill will be occurring on Sunday May 22, 2011 from 1300 to 1500 hours. County Staff participants will need to be on-site at the SCCo RACES communication post by 1200 hours for briefing.
SCCo RACES will have a mobile communications command post at the event for this drill.
Scenario - Several hours after an earthquake. City and County EOCs are up and operating. The Cities are collecting and the Cities ARES Groups will be passing; city scan, damage assessments, and logistics requests that will be sent to the County via Packet (primary and preferred method) and voice (back-up method).

Net Control and Packet Operator positions are available.
Command and Message Net Control Operator positions are available.
Field Positions: Will not be available this drill.
