Event Detail and Sign Up

The Santa Clara County EMA is conducting a CERT Search & Rescue exercise on October 29th from 0730 to 1700.  They have requested Amateur Radio Support.  This event will be the county wide communications exercise for 2016.

NOTE: This sign-up is for event staff only and requires approval from the IC or DEC.  RACES Participants should sign-up for the appropriate position on the Participant list.

Location:  Moffett Field

Overall Event:  This is a county-wide exercise focused on emergency communications in support of a CERT exercise.  It is designed to provide participants with valuable in-field operating experience.  Standard County procedures will be used:  Resource Net, ICS documentation, Performance Standard and Best Practices.

DSW:  You need a County DSW card to participate. If you do not have a valid County DSW you may attend but will not be covered by DSW until you arrive at the drill site and are sworn in as a DSW worker for the event.

Shifts:  Two shifts are currently planned for an AM shift 0730-1230 and a PM shift 1200-1700.  If we get sufficient signups we will do more shifts of a shorter duration.

MAC Evals:  Evals will be offfered for those who want them.  Those who want an evaluation need to contact the MAC Program Manager after signing up.
 

The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
