We are looking for a few hams to drive to designated locations in Los Altos to test communications with common HTs. We will meet at 9:30 AM to review the testing procedure, then take off for designated locations and start testing at 10 AM. There are 17 sites in Los Altos we want to test! Total time is estimated at 2 hours, so we should be done at noon. We would like to put teams of 2 or 3 hams in a car.
You cannot join us for driving, you can help out by testing from your front yard at 11 AM. Simply walk out and make contact with the EOC at 11 AM.
This even is not covered by DSW. Minimum requirement is a fully charged HT. Offering to drive other hams is a plus.
Once you sign up for the event, we will forward additional information to you.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
