This is the monthly Message Passing Training Net held on the third Tuesday of each month.
The training net will be be held on the Resource Net Repeaters (AA6BT 146.115, N6NAC 444.625, and W6ASH 440.800) which will be linked for the net.
This net will consist of the sending of ICS-213 messages. The messages will be beginner level with some simple prowords. Up to 3 messages will be sent and received by volunteers who sign up for the sender and receiver positions. Read the job description for the positions. Depending on the time allowed we may not get to all 3 messages. We will take participants in the order noted of #1, #2, #3.
Expected Difficulty: Easy
It is recommended that you have taken the Message Passing class to participate as an active participant as a message sender or receiver; but, is not required if you have sufficient experience and understanding of SCCo message passing procedures, techniques and prowords. Message senders/receivers will be given a critique from the moderator on their techniques and use of procedures. If you are ok with additional critiques/comments from others on the net they will be solicited.
Anyone wishing to receive pre-event communications (plans for the net, advance look at messages to be used, etc.) should sign up. While not required, sign ups are encouraged You are encouraged to copy the messages being sent for practice.
Up to 4 blank ICS-213's may be needed: 3 station-to-station, plus 1 multi-station.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
