Introduction to New Message Handling Procedures
This webinar will cover several enhancements to our message passing procedures. These enhancements are designed to address gaps in procedures and tools, and to more closely align our procedures with the needs of our served agencies.
Intended Participation:
Everyone who participates in ARES/RACES/ACS activities at either the city or county level, anywhere in Santa Clara County.
System:
This webinar will be conducted using Zoom Meetings. If you're unfamiliar with webinars, or if you want to know more about Zoom, you can visit their web site at https://zoom.us. In fact, you can register for a free account to play around with it and become familiar with the capabilities and controls.
Equipment:
You should use a computer with a large enough screen to view presentations and diagrams. Firefox, Safari or Chrome web browsers are recommended. You can use your computer audio (headset STRONGLY recommended) or call in by phone.
Access:
Access to the webinar is via a link (URL) that will be sent out to all who have signed up by the day before the event. Make sure your email address is configured correctly in the activities database.
Interaction:
Participants can use the control panel to "raise their hand" to ask questions. We'll accomodate as many questions as possible, while still trying to keep the timeframe reasonable. Unanswered questions can be handled on our Training discussion group.
Recording:
The webinar will be recorded and posted. Those who are unable to attend will miss the ability to ask questions during the webinar, but can view the recording later.
