County Wide Drill Planning Discussion
This webinar will be a discussion of activities and plans for ARES/RACES County Wide Exercises. Can we create scenerios and activities that provide the most value and that encourage hams to attend.
Intended Participation:
ECs, AECs and others interested in the discussion and planning for County Wide Exercises. Come with your ideas and thoughts.
General Exercise Guidelines to keep in mind:
- Provide activities for new and experienced hams
- Provide opportunites for those wanting to earn credentials
- Location flexibility (can we easily obtain a viable location)
- Time frame (can the activities be accomplished in a reasonable time)
- Are the activities realistic and do they teach/demonstrate best practices
System:
This webinar will be conducted using Zoom Meetings. If you're unfamiliar with webinars, or if you want to know more about Zoom, you can visit their web site at https://zoom.us. In fact, you can register for a free account to play around with it and become familiar with the capabilities and controls.

Equipment:
You should use a computer with a large enough screen to view presentations and diagrams. Firefox, Safari or Chrome web browsers are recommended. Using a headset attached to your computer for audio is STRONGLY recommended. If that's not possible, you can call in by phone.
Access:
Access to the webinar is via a link (URL) that will be sent out to all who have signed up by the day before the event. Make sure your email address is configured correctly in the activities database.
Interaction:
Use the control panel to "raise your hand" and the moderators will acknowledge you to speak or add a comment. Depending on the number of participants we will let eveyrone unmute themselves to speak. If this get uncontrollable then participants will be unmuted by the moderators.
